School Supplies

Young Nephew graduated from high school last June, and is headed to college this week. Mr. Fairway and I gave him $100 to honor his accomplishments when we saw him down at the OBX a couple of weeks ago. When handing YN a card with the Benjamin enclosed, Mr. Fairway said, "Don't spend it on school supplies."

Yesterday we received the requisite thank you note. Gotta say, the kid has a flair. And he's pretty funny, too.

Don't forget: Tomorrow we're hosting Mrs. Scribe's Poetry Slam!

It's nice to see the young ones haven't lost the art of the thank you note!

Oh that is so sweet of him to write a thank you note. I think that requires a thank you not to his parents for raising him well!

"Thank you for the gift of money."

When I left for college, "supplies" were of the liquid kind. But, I'm sure your nephew is much more responsible.
