Back-to-School Shopping

What I Miss About School

I'm responding to Mama Kat's Writing Prompt #3: What do you miss most about the school year?

12. All of the ways in which we have to go up the down staircase.

11. Students who pay attention in class.

10. All those papers I have to grade.

9. Dressing up for Halloween.

8. Room 215.

7. The headaches ~ and heartaches ~ of yearbook.

6. Playing hide-and-go-seek with myself.

5. Students who can apply the lessons we've taught them ~ NOT!

4. Family who appreciate my life's calling.

3. Those small cries for help.

2. Couch potatoes.

1. My cherubs, one and all.

LOVIN' the collage! That's definitely school in a nutshell, the "Help!" cracked me up. I wish all students were easy, I know I was up until I no longer felt challenged. I bet you would have been my favorite. :)

That's a great mix of photos...are they all from last year? I do recognize the poster from one of the rallies. What a mess that was!!! I am wishing you the best school year possible. The neighbor behind me homeschools and they started on Monday. It's not even August yet. And something about that makes me so sad. I remember starting school right before my birthday, which is Sept. 8th. How did it happen that schools start next week?? May your cherubs be sweet and attentive and your yearbook meet all deadlines and exceed last year's edition in all of its awesome.

And may fall break come quickly.

You haven't been out of school too long, and you miss it already?

When I read the title, I thought you missed back-to-school shopping, and my mind was thrown back to my little girls, bickering and whining in a T.J. Maxx dressing room - oh, how I DON'T miss repeating THAT adventure!

I am giggling at my desk at the collage. Great job. (Also: wavering between looking forward to/dreading the start of school in 3 weeks).

Was he sleeping in class, or the material was too hard and he was banging his head on the book?

awwww my cherubs one and all! I love the summer, but the one thing that makes me happy as the fall comes nearer is just that :)

Your collage is priceless. It almost makes me believe you are looking forward to school starting again.

I actually do miss back-to-school shopping. I may go get some supplies just for me.
