Another Year Bites the Dust

Help!

My assignment, per Writer's Workshop? Why, Prompt #5:
Imagine your life is now a book. In 100 words, write the blurb for it.

High school teacher Melissa B. believes she has the perfect life: supervising the percolating chaos of her classroom by day, creating her own little corner of the literary universe by night. Little does she know that she's about to be snared in a nefarious scheme that could prove to become the Rendezvous from Hell.

Join our heroine as she sets aside her battles with Principal Man to celebrate the latest chapter in her storied career with ice cream and cake. It's a birthday party only Mrs. Scribe knows how to throw, and it's taking place in Room 215. Stay tuned!

Funny how when we're kids a school year lasted an eternity. Now, in my mid-50's, I'll suddenly realize there are school buses out there and think, "Oh, school!" and before I blink my eyes, they're gone and it's summer again. And it seems like kids are OUT of school more than they're IN school thru the school year, with all these planning days and holidays and whatnot.

At 4:15 in the morning, I'm fuzzy. Is it your birthday or Principal Man's?! LOL!

Happy Birthday Ms. Scribe ! I hope you're whupping it up in Room 215 (which always makes me think of the 1970s t.v. series, "Room 202.")....Since all the b-day cards I shopped for were all crippy crappy, I"m writing you a post. Check back later today on my blog !....

You have 41 days STILL? OH MY GOD.

I'm at 19 days and about to go insane. Marketing and Yearbook is done. Just waiting for yearbook to arrive to distribute. Multimedia is in the middle of its final big project. Computer skills is puttering along towards the end of the year. My seniors will all be gone June 3; the others have an additional week.

Ok, that is brilliant. What a great idea to write about yourself as a blurb. Oh my, I'm scared mine would be boring! :)

Lots of yummy love,
