Where There's Smoke, There's Fire...

Where There's Smoke, There's Fire

Superior Snap courtesy of my baby, MOO. She conducted this odd "purging" ritual over Spring Break, which involved burning a few items attached to a former relationship. She's got a snap of a similar persuasion posted over at her place. Please visit, if you have a chance!

Men...

On a slightly similar topic, I'm still wrapping up the grading janx for 3rd quarter, but wanted to update y'all on the Sexy Soccer Saga. Yes, there's more.

The lap dances, apparently, were reciprocal. Freshman girls serviced senior boys; freshman boys took care of senior girls. Can you say "gross"?

And one more tidbit...a dozen seniors or so skipped out of school after lunch yesterday. Headed over to one boy's house, where much frivolity ensued. School Cop busted the booze-soaked BBQ during 7th period & now a whole passle of kids is in trouble.

Thing is, Principal Man benched members of the tennis team, among others, for breaking school rules. The soccer kidz, meanwhile, get a pass.

Of course, they're the ones who are supposed to win the District crown, remember?

Oh, no way! If you haven't already, I would sooooo print that article about the dances. I would also have a journalista do a lil write up of the party and subsequent bust by School Cop.

After that, I would make sure a certain superintendent and maybe some school board officials received copies of said paper.

Why are the rules applied so unfairly?

Spring fever is epidemic! Seems like just the kind of article a school paper should print.

Love the superior snap.

Do you seriously have a school cop??

Cool picture--hope it made her feel better.

Good grief about the soccer scenario. It's a great chance to explore the responsibilities and opportunities of the media with your journalistas, though. Seems that different elements in the news media these days have vastly differing perspectives on what their role is. I find that there is a wide spectrum from helpful to detrimental in the impact to society. Personally, I long for the days of "Just the facts!"

That is definitely unfair with the rules and like Tortuga said, I'd try to get a media write up too

I like the photo idea.

Purging rituals can be very cleansing. It seems like the soccer team may need some purging rituals of their own.

Oh, spring break!! We were allowed to have a massive food fight outside as part of a spring ritual.

In honor of Teacher Appreciation Week, boojeebeads.com is having a contest where every teacher in your school can win a free gift! Check out the contest at my link.

i remember doing one of these "cleanses" as well. it is so therapeutic - unless the relationship is rekindled.
