Put a Tiger in Your Tank

Year of the Tiger

I'm about a month late with the celebration, but wanted to post one more Northern Cali snap. San Fran's Grant Avenue boasts more energy than stuffy ol' DC ever sees...except, of course, when the politicos are yammering about health care & such.

Just in case you didn't know, Chinese New Year falls in mid-February & 2010 is the Year of the Tiger. I was born in the Year of the Horse. According to the Chinese calendar, the horse "is associated with energy and is an indicator of happiness, success, and confidence. The person born in the year of the horse is often spirited, independent, skillful, cheerful and perceptive."

What animal honors your birth year?

I, too, am a Horse... it's beats being a horse's behind!

I had no idea I was full of energy, skillful and all that other stuff... who knew?

Thanks for dropping by my site...
Have a great one.

I was born in the year of the Rabbit. According to the ancient Chinese Lunar-Zodiac legend those born in the year of the Rabbit are romantic, talented, and successful.

Somehow I think they got me wrong.

This picture has such old world charm. It looks like a faded old Kodak from the 1970;s that you found in an old shoe box. Just fabulous! by the way, we're Ruby Tuesday (virtual) neighbors.

Looks like Chinese New Year is great in San Fran! It's a much smaller affair over in Belfast.
I was born in the year of the Monkey and apparently we are clever, skillful, and flexible...I'd say I'm flexible (altho definately NOT in a yoga way!), but I'm not sure about the others!!
Thanks for stopping by my blog too! :)

I miss San Francisco so much!
But the best part is that while looking at this I know right on the other side of that street to the right is my favorite Italian restaurant ever...sigh.

Mine is the sheep: Those born in the Year of the Sheep are said to be charming, elegant and artistic, who like material comforts. A bit of a worrier they also have a tendency to complain about things.

Pretty dead on, lol!

Bella is the monkey and Thomas is the boar. Very cool!

Tiger here. Maybe my son will respect me more if I tell him. :-)

I just want to jump right into that picture and walk down that street with an egg roll in one hand and a camera in the other!
