Y'all: Thanks so much for your comments! Yes, I did take that Superior Snap...on 1-95 near Richmond, on my way back from the OBX, right after the DC area suffered thru the Blizzard of '09.
When I lived in Vegas, it wasn't unusual for people to drive up to Mt. Charleston and deliberately bring home truckloads of snow. It was always a fun treat for the kids.
I once dated a guy who lived in Virginia while I lived in NY and he said he had never seen snow, so I brought a snowball in a cooler down to him the first time I met his family. It was slightly melted when I got there. Maybe that's why we didn't work out. It's okay cause apparently he's crazy now. Dodged THAT bullet!
