On the Road to the OBX

Rainy Road Trip

Rather Have a Rainy Road Trip!

The alternative was a snowy one. My homies back in DC will be suffering under up to a foot of snow or more by the end of the day. I'm taking a few days off down at North Carolina's OBX, where it's raining, but supposed to be clear up by afternoon. I did bring some papers to grade, but I'll think I'll put that off for awhile. The view~which is brought to you today by Cate's 6-Word Saturday~is lovely, rain or shine...

Nothing’s better than
getting away from it all,
even if rain falls.

Good if the rain doesn't freeze.

How did you get the time off? You'd have to be in the hospital to get leave approved around here.

Having just moved back to RI this summer, we're now bracing for that big storm heading our way.
I think I'll enjoy it if I don't have to go anywhere.

I miss my CA beach though. Nice view from where you sit ;)

Of course I'm stuck in the one place where I don't get a snow day because I live in Canada now and lots of snow is to be expected... What I wouldn't give for rain... but I probably won't see rain till sometime in April lol... Enjoy your trip!

Smart to head to the beach and dodge all the snow in D.C. Love Atlantic beaches in the winter !

Lovely. We have yet to make it to OBX. Usually head to Isle of Palms...one of these days. Enjoy :-)

I haven't been to the Outer Banks in awhile but I do love it there. We had originally planned to head to Alexandria this weekend. Glad we reconsidered!

Thanks for playing 6WS and have a nice break!

What does OBX stand for? That pic looks great! It was supposed to snow here but we got nothing but cold weather and rain.

21 inches is what you are missing!

I hope you have a fab time in OBX - I'm green right now.

Hope your trip to the Outer Banks went well. It wasn't perfect weather (a bit chilly), but much better than digging out of snow!

Please keep us in mind if you need any assistance planning your next OBX trip.
