The Buck Stops Here...

Deer Here

My neighbors looked out their living room window last Sunday & whom do they see? Mr. & Mrs. 8-Point Buck hanging out near the swingset. I almost couldn't see these dear deer, a) because my eyesight isn't what it used to be, and b) because they were slightly camouflaged by the grass & the leaves.

The thing I find amazing about this snap, however, isn't necessarily the buck & his doe chillin' in the DC 'burbs. It's the reflection of the Red Maple in the window beyond the fence.

Quilly introduced me to Weekend Reflections...I found Camera Critters on my own. You should visit all of them!

Thanks for the shout out. James deserves all the credit for this wonderful photo challenge though. And this is a superior addition to the line up. Great capture.

Wow! Those are huge! Isn't odd for two bucks to be together?

Love it! There are deer and wild turkeys in my yard, much to everyone's surprise, since I'm in the city.

Wow, it would make my day to find deer in my garden! (as opposed to the squirrel that lives in my tree and is currently attempting to dig up all my carefully planted spring bulbs!)

What a coincidence I live in Bucks County and I love red maple trees.
Very nice shot.

I think the buck and doe feel very comfortable there.

What a great picture! The buck looks very regal. I love the reflection of the red maple, what a beautiful tree. I can't get over the size of those deer, the ones here are teeny tiny compared to these. Kathy

Made themselves at home and enriched your photo.

I was hoping you were talking about that kind of buck! Great shots, I love to watch the deer but don't get that many opportunities here.

Maple trees are one of my favorite trees.
And the deer seems to be looking at the tree too. :-)

Early Xmas yard ornaments ? So sweet. A pair. Looks like they just had breakfast and they're thinking about going to work.

I know that I've never seen anything like this before. I can't get over the one laying down in the grass. The standing one seems to be wondering how he got there!
