One Quarter to Go 'Til Halftime...

Which Team's Winning?

One quarter down...3 to go!

Those of you who took a gander at yesterday's post know that the first quarter ended yesterday at Our Humble High School. We have so many cherubs out sick with the flu (no official diagnosis of the swine variety, yet) that I had to take the 3 last assignments in AP English and move them to next quarter.

Let's just say that it'll be a hot time in the old town next week when all those kiddos come in for make up work. But for now, I'ma gonna hang out with My Peeps, enjoy the what remains of the Wisconsin fall foliage & watch the 2nd iteration of the Vikings-Packers matchup.

Six-Word Saturday is pretty awesome, ain't it? Oh, and I'm eschewing a Halloween theme today 'cause I can, I guess. Always gotta be different...

That sounds like a great plan to enjoy the fall while it's here. I love just sitting on my balcony and admiring all of the color as it changes each day. Just sit back and enjoy the weekend while you can. Have a Happy Halloween.

I was surprised how quickly the first quarter seemed to go by. Enjoy your weekend with the peeps, and I hope you get a win in the game too.

Thanks for stopping by this morning and saying Hi! :)

My youngest son loves Green Bay. So much so, that for his honeymoon last month they did a road trip from the East Coast to the West Coast and spent a few days tailgating and enjoying a Packer Game. It was his dream come true!LOL

"Happy SITS Saturday Sharefest to you, too!"

Swine flu has hit our high school hard in NE Ohio. I've had 8 kids out with it already, and I've become a virtual ATM of make-up work. It's terrible. And those are just the doctor-diagnosed cases. I shudder to think of all the kids of former GM and Ford workers, now laid-off, who can't afford to go to the doctor and who are home with it as well. (Or worse, coming to school with it...urg. Perish the thought.)

I use to teach and so remember trying to be flexible and yet know that there was an end point they needed to reach and AP they really have an END they need to reach by MAY, yikes, I feel for you.
Good Luck!!!

Sorry that the flu is putting such a kink into your curriculum. My daughter's favorite class in HS was AP English, by the way. She loved it and nailed that AP exam at the end of it with a 5. :)

Happy Halloween!

Look at you all theme-rebellious! :)
Why makeup the work? You know the cherubs would rather just take it easy. Right?
