California, Here We Come!

Y'all already know that My Lil Sis y familia reside in San Francisco. They trekked clear across the country in 2005 & never looked back, unless it was from 30,000 feet. We visit from time to time. It's a beautiful part of the country & the city never grows old.

My Lil Sis, in fact, recently started a blog devoted to All Things San Fran. You really should visit Miss Jo's San Francisco. You'll learn a lot & be totally awed at the same time.

While sorting thru extraneous Superior Snaps last nite, I came upon these gems. Hey, I'm an English teacher. We do character studies. I'd love to trace the family trees of these NoCali characters, wouldn't you?

I really like the photographs. I especially like the ones with Rice a Roni. You couldn't have picked a better title for the Crack in the Sidewalk. That's hilarious. Hope you have a great weekend.

A Scribely clarification: Pretty in Pink & Crack in the Sidewalk were shot down in Santa Cruz, which is south of San Fran.

Really fantastic pictures! Wow. That silver statue man is too cool! How much do you think he earns in a day? That must be a very hard job!

Okay so my hubby and I went to Las Vegas a couple of years ago and we saw a tin man. Of course I wanted to get my picture taken with the tin man...I didn't realize we were suppose to tip them so after the picture I just walked away. My husband said he held out his hand, but I didn't see it and my husband didn't tell me until later...oooops, I'm from the country...what can I say...Sorry tin man.

DUDE, pull your pants up. What is up with that? I've never been to San Fransisco and am dying to visit! Hopefully when I do I'll miss the crack.

Say no to crack, dude!

N'Awlins had a few performers like that tinman. Was really strange when you see it for the very first time.
