You see, Our Bloggy Friend & Partner in Journalism Education, Teach J, did some nominating the other day, and Mrs. Scribe made the cut! The 2008 Edublog Awards, also known as The Eddies, have been blinging their way thru the Edu-Sphere for 5 years now. Your Bloggy Teacher Friends get a chance to win "Actual, Genuine, Prizes as well as tasty badges and the respect of your peers," according to the post announcing that nominations--which must be made in the form of a blog post--are open.
You may nominate your Favorite Teacher Blog (perhaps of a Scribely Nature?) for an Eddie until the end of November, and voting will begin at the start of December. Click Here to find all nominating instructions, should you care to nominate Someone Scribely (hint, hint)! Basically, all you have to do is list your nominees in the form of a post; link to those nominees, and fill out the really short nomination form HERE. And make sure you do all this by Sunday, November 30th. Don't even need the Easy Button for that one, huh?
Your Humble Scribe's Nominations for the 2008 Eddies are as follows:
Best Teacher Blog: Bellringers
Best Education Tech Support Blog: Teacher in a Strange Land
Best Educational Use of Audio: Jeff Orchard Jazz
Best Educational Use of Video: Steve Spangler Blog
Best Educational Use of Social Networking: Happy Chyck Wonders
