Peter Pan Syndrome?

This is all Ella Numera Dos wanted for her birthday--a "Disney Princess Cake" from Baskin-Robbins. White cake, rainbow sherbet, pink icing. Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella, Belle, Ariel included. Numera Dos is 18, BTW, and about to embark on that Grand Journey They Call College!

Don't try to make children grow up
to be like you, or they may do it.

I thought that was funny. How cool that your daughter still loves the disney princesses. How bittersweet to see them getting older and more mature but then realizing they are moving farther away from us as parents. Mentally as well as physically.

My small fry just came and climbed into my lap. I shrudder to think of her growing up and moving away(she's the youngest)

Great post!

That is so funny that your daughter wants the Disney cake, but why grow up if you don't have to! I would like a piece of that cake!!! It is beautiful!

Yum. When I'm not consuming Mass Quantitites of Veggies, I so *heart* anything from B-R. Are the princesses edible, too?

What a beautiful cake. All three of my children are adults, but I still enjoy buying them special treats for their birthdays.

See - now you're just making me jealous.

In this testosterone-filled monster house, we will never have fairies or princesses or even pigtails.

Unless... someone wants to mess with me come Halloween maybe?

Nah (lol) - that is wicked evil. ;)

We have 4 more years before our eldest makes the jump into college - I wonder what kind of cake he'll ask for when he turns 18...

The cake sounds so good. I wonder if my daughter (who turns 17 today) would like that?
