We Don't Need No Education

We were a big fan of Pink Floyd--Back in the Day. This video, in particular, vyed for our loyalty with Alice Cooper's "School's Out." It's creepy, but the message had Great Meaning to an 18-year-old who took herself Way. Too. Seriously.

Let's be clear. Our Humble High School is not a Sausage Factory. Not even close! And, all in all, we're not just another Brick in the Wall. But after 4 meetings in 24 hours, and two more scheduled in the next 72, desperation does begin to set in.

No more Dark Posts. We promise!

I LOVED those songs! They became sort of an anthem for me in my rebel days! LOL

Like the song, not so sure about the video. You don't REALLY feel this way about teaching, do you? I've got a feeling that no "cookie cutter" education takes place in your classroom!

Unfortunately, my speakers on my computer aren't working. :-( Oh well. Maybe over this long holiday weekend I'll have a chance to come here and visit a little more in depth...taking care of my grandbabies for 10 1/2 to 12 hours per day lately, I have woefully, WOEFULLY little computer time. So many lovely new visitors lately and not a chance to do more than read the latest and say hi. And I HATE that!! I have SO enjoyed your blog so far, Melissa. I want to read MORE!!! Actually, I've cut back on caffeine on my own, tho my doctor recently told me I need to make some changes in my eating habits due to funky cholesterol...high bad and low good! So I've cut waaaaaaaaay back on my coffee. I was an absolute coffee-holic.

My husband used to have a pink t-shirt with a photo of Floyd, the barber, from Andy Griffith...hence: Pink Floyd.

The weird thing is my husband rarely wears t-shirts with anything on them.
