One of our English students from last year committed suicide last night. Don't know why. What a sweet, funny, quirky kid. If we had to talk about one "downside" of teaching, this is pretty much it. Adios, Nick. Thanks for keeping us laughing and helping us to understand ourselves.

I had one of those 4 years ago. It sucks. I had 2 students die that year and I still wonder if I could have done something for Jens, if there was something I should have noticed or something I did that added to what he was dealing with.
